On the new setup regardless of the fact that you have a UEFI motherboard, you have x2 GPUs in the case now, which can both get very hot! Lets say they produce twice the amount of heat (just because there is twice the GPU) than a single GPU on its own. A single GPU will get very hot! I would guess they can get anywhere near to 90 degrees centigrade? But the cooling solution you were using was able to cope. Previously using the other motherboard you only had x1 GPU. I think this is quite an easy one to work out if you think about it logically?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I have also tried reapplying the thermal paste (Arctic Silver 5) with no change in temps. I believe that the power supply also sucks air into the case blowing upwards towards the video cards. The CPU fan is a vertical and blows upwards in the case. The Back and top fans are blowing out and the front panel fan is sucking in. I have tried a few different fan configurations with the side panel fans concluding that bottom sucking in and top one blowing out has the best results. This topped out at around 76 under the heat test using Prime95 (which locked up the PC about 1 min after finishing the test). Now the Asus utility is around 14 degrees higher, which matches the Bios temp idling around 52-54C. When i first got the CPU and Heatsink the average was around 19C now its average is 38-40C and max load tops off at 67.8C(Temps from OpenHardwareMonitor and CoreTemp). My CPU has been overheating lately(under load from gaming), locking up the PC and forcing a manual reboot.
